NBC News: Murrieta Protesters Filled with 'Hatred'

NBC News’ Miguel Almaguer reported Wednesday evening that the protests in Murrieta, CA that turned back three Border Patrol buses filled with illegal aliens who were being transferred from Texas were filled with “hatred,” at least in the eyes of some observers.

The report, televised by NBC Nightly News, left little doubt that NBC News empathizes with that view. Almaguer contrasted “the anger, tension, what many called hate” with the vulnerability of the “young families” who had crossed the border illegally. Cameras caught one man spitting at another, who was apparently wearing a Mexican soccer jersey and was described as an “advocate for immigration.” The views of those concerned about the rule of law were mentioned, albeit briefly.

At no point in the report did Almaguer inform viewers that President Barack Obama himself shares the same stated policy as the one protesters are insisting he enforce.

“Do not send your children to the borders. If they do make it, they’ll get sent back, Obama told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos in an interview last week.
