1st Murder at Target Store since Law-Abiding Citizens Asked to Shop Unarmed

On July 22, a man was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Van Nuys, Los Angeles, Target just weeks after the department store chain “respectfully” asked law-abiding citizens not to bring their guns tothe stores.

According to ABC 7 Los Angeles, a man in his 40s was shot in the early morning hours “and rushed to Holy Cross Medical Center, where he died.”

Police believe the gunman may have gang ties, but the victim did not.

On July 9, Breitbart News reported there had been two robberies at Target stores within one week of Target interim CEO John Mulligan “respectfully” asking law-abiding shoppers to leave their guns at home.

A similar pattern was observed at Jack in the Box stores, after they too asked law-abiding customers not to bring guns to their restaurants. Within two weeks of making that request, two Jack in the Box stores were robbed, and a shooting took place at a third.
