LAPD Detective Convicted of Stripping Masseuses and Fondling Them

The LA Weekly reveals that a Los Angeles Police Department detective whose occupation entailed visiting massage parlors to see if they were complying with the city’s laws was found to have forced three women who were employed at the parlors to undress so he could fondle them.

Oris Pace, 49, who had worked for the Commission Investigation Division as a supervisor, was sentenced Friday to 180 days in jail and three years probation. He will also have to resign from the LAPD.

In June, Pace had pleaded no contest to three counts of assault. His job was to “enforce business permits,” but he either forced the three women to undress, or undressed them himself at the parlors in the San Fernando Valley.

Prosecutors said that Pace’s crimes were found by the LAPD itself.
