L.A. Activists Make Emergency Call for Action If Darren Wilson not Indicted

The Coalition for Community Control Over the Police are organizing activists across the United States to rally if a Ferguson grand jury decides not to indict officer Darren Wilson for the murder of Michael Brown on August 9.

A grand jury is expected to render that decision as soon as Monday.

In Los Angeles, activists are being instructed to gather at 3pm at Crenshaw & MLK Blvd to rally in the community. If the announcement is made after 3pm, the rally will take place there the day after.

According to their social media Facebook page, the next day following the community rally, activists will gather at 3pm at the Downtown Federal Courthouse in Los Angeles on N. Spring St. to demand that Attorney General Eric Holder and President Barack Obama bring federal charges for the violations of the Civil Rights of Mike Brown, Ezell Ford, Omar Abrego, Carlos Oliva, and others.

Their motto: No Justice, No Peace!

In Ferguson MO, CNN reported that sales of firearms have increased dramatically in the last few days. Metro Shooting Supplies owner Stephen King told CNN that customers bought 100 guns this weekend. Normally, weekend sales reel in about 30 buyers

“People are afraid they are gonna throw Molotov cocktails,” King said. The gun store proprietor claims that the increase in sales expands across all race and ethnicities. “A lot of black people are coming in saying they are afraid of the hooliganism,” King says.
