Santa Cruz police have nicknamed a man who robbed a bank “Mrs. Doubtfire,” after he donned a wig, carried a purse, and wore navy-blue scrubs with a long-sleeved shirt as he cased one bank and robbed another.

Police officers stated that the man cased the Rabobank, telling the San Francisco Chronicle, “When the bank employees contacted the suspect, they were surprised to see that although the suspect was dressed like a female, the suspect was actually a male.”

The man left, than presented himself an hour later at the U.S. bank, where he proceeded to hand a demand note to a teller, grabbing some cash and leaving. No weapons appeared to have been used in the robbery.

Police said the suspect is 25 to 35 years old, 5-foot-5 and 160 to 170 pounds, with dark skin.
