4-Year-Old Killed While Playing in Front Yard with Stuffed Animals in CA

Deputies responded to reports of shots fired in Highland, California on Wednesday night and found a 4-year-old boy, Daniel Munoz suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was playing with stuffed animals in his front yard when he was struck down.

Munoz was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department conveyed that Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail is conducting an investigation.

A person of interest has been identified as an unnamed Hispanic male in his early 20s, 5’8” to 5’11” and 160-180 pounds. He is pictured above. Fox LA reported that the man is being sought out primarily because authorities believe he may have been the intended target of the attack. Investigators are also seeking a white 1990’s 4-door Toyota Camry with black bumpers in connection with the homicide.
