A baby girl was delivered in the back of an SUV Sunday afternoon, on the busy 405 freeway in Orange County. . The father and the couple’s two young children were guided through the birthing process by an Orange County Fire Authority dispatcher over the phone.

The baby is “doing great,” according to a report on the delivery by the Orange County Register.

Anuradha Suratka reportedly went into labor on the I-405 near Seal Beach Boulevard around 4:30 p.m. Her husband Nagaraj Badavide, their 12-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son were able to deliver the baby safely thanks to the help of Grace Romero. The Chronicle notes that OCFA paramedic firefighters arrived just as the baby’s head emerged and the father was able to clamp and cut the cord upon the baby girl’s delivery.

Mom and baby were reportedly taken to Los Alamitos Medical Center shortly after.

In July of this year, a mother delivered her baby in the drive-thru parking lot of a Bakersfield Taco Bell. Several months before that, a woman delivered an 11 pound baby on the corner of Anaheim’s 91 freeway.
