Law enforcement is conducting a search after “three inmates charged with violent crimes” escaped from the Santa Ana jail.

Orange County Sheriff Department Lt. Jeff Hallock says the actual escape occurred Friday morning.

According to CBS Los Angeles, the escaped inmates are 37-year-old Hossein Nayeri, 20-year-old Jonathan Tieu, and 43-year-old Bac Duong. Nayeri faced “charges of kidnapping and torture,” Tieu faced a murder charge, and Duong “faced a charge of attempted murder.”

Law enforcement searched the Central Jail Complex and Civic Center in Santa Ana, but did not locate the escapees. They now believe the three individuals–described as “dangerous”–have “fled the area.”
