It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s a car flying through the sky that landed atop a Palos Verdes Estates home on Wednesday.

According to police, a driver of a four-door Lexus racing south on 200 block of Palos Verdes Drive West hit two moving cars, sped to hit two parked cars on the 500 block, then flew off the road, up a driveway of one home, where it hit a fifth car, finally soaring into the air and landing on the attached garage of the home next to the first home. According to KTLA, Los Angeles County firefighters were called to the home at 3:39 p.m.

ABC 7 reported that the roof and the car were damaged, although the driver, who had a medical condition according to police, only received minor injuries. Cranes had to be summoned to remove the car. An Urban Search and Rescue team was examining the property to see if its structural integrity had been put at risk. Palos Verdes Drive West was closed.

The owner of the home where the car came to rest told CBS Los Angeles that she was inside playing solitaire when she felt the house jolted by the crash. She said, “You just can’t believe how dumb it is. Awful!”

Video of the crane removing the car can be seen here.

Police said there were no other injuries.
