CBS News’ O’Donnell on Hot Mic: Placido Domingo’s Sexual Assault Denial ‘Sounds Like Somebody Else Here’

Wednesday, “CBS Evening News” anchor Norah O’Donnell was caught on a hot microphone reacting to opera star Placido Domingo’s sexual assault denial, saying it sounded “like somebody else here.”

After doing a report about the allegations, CBS correspondent Chip Reid read out Domingo’s denial to sexual  misconduct where Domingo said he believed his actions were “welcomed and consensual.”

O’Donnell could then be heard over a hot mic saying, “Sounds like somebody else here.”

Charlie Rose, O’Donnell’s former co-anchor on “CBS This Morning,” was fired by the network in 2017 after he was accused of sexual misconduct by numerous women.
