Iran Daily: U.S. Conspiracy to Push Us into Recognizing Israel

TEL AVIV – The Iranian daily Resalat published an article claiming that the U.S. is planning to implement a series of additional Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) agreements aimed at eradicating Iran.

The new JCPOA agreements would, according to the article, remove the Iranian missile program, eliminate Iran’s proxy terror groups – Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis in Yemen – and culminate in Iranian recognition of Israel.

The newspaper further claimed that the U.S. has Iranian collaborators helping to implement its plan, including the “traitor” – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

The article, translated by MEMRI, was based on a March 20 address by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in which Khamenei warned of an American plot for a JCPOA 2, 3, and 4.

“From the very beginning, Iran has maintained that the U.S. never upholds any treaty or accords, but [Iran] nevertheless agreed to negotiate,” the article explains.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), according to Resalet, declared that in ten years of inspections it had observed no violations in Iran’s nuclear activities.

“Thus, the IAEA indirectly told the world that Iran was innocent in this big nuclear libel against it by the U.S., and that all the nuclear penalties and sanctions were therefore cruel, illegal, unjustified, and invalid.”

Nevertheless, despite the agreement in the current JCPOA, the U.S. has not only lifted the sanctions as promised, “it has also shamelessly considered, or passed, dozens of new ones.”

The article then goes on to explain how the Americans, seeing how easy it was to get Iran to agree to its terms – especially in reducing uranium enrichment from 20 percent to 5 percent – became “greedy” and began hatching a plan to impose more and more JCPOAs on the Islamic Republic.

“America has perceived this weakness on the part of our government, and it is natural that it use it to its own advantage,” the article reads.

Unlike the [previous] nuclear negotiations, in which the [Iranian] government had bargaining chips such as the 20 percent-enriched uranium, tens of thousands of centrifuges, and the heavy-water reactor at Arak, this time its hands are empty. … The enemy, noticing these weaknesses, naturally becomes greedier, having in reserve the bargaining chips of the sanctions, which it holds above the head of the [Iranian] government like the sword of Damocles so that it will give in to their additional JCPOAs out of fear.

The ensuing JCPOAs target the Iranian missile industry, Hezbollah, Hamas, the ideological camp of Ayatollah Khomeini, the philosophy of the Islamic Revolution, and even the removal of Syrian President Bashar Assad, he continued, and all will be “given to the history museums.”

Finally, after amending the Iranian constitution, deposing the Supreme Leader, and merging the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps with the Iranian army, “Israel will be officially recognized.”
