TEL AVIV – Two Israelis were wounded in a Palestinian terrorist stabbing in Netanya on Thursday.

Netanya is located about 18 miles north of Tel Aviv.  The attack reportedly took place at a market in the city.

Ynetnews reports:

One 40-year-old man was moderately wounded. A 62-year-old woman was lightly wounded. They were both stabbed in their upper bodies.

Superintendent Micky Rosenfeld, Israel Police Foreign Press Spokesman, tweeted that one of the Israelis was severely wounded.

The Jerusalem Post has more:

The assailant, an Palestinian male, was shot and killed by an armed civilian who was standing at the scene, with security forces arriving in the minutes following the attack.

Initial investigations have revealed that the terrorist was a resident of the Tulkarem region. Tulkarem is a Palestinian city on the other side of the Green Line from Netanya, around 16km east of the coastal city.

The attack took place the same day a 17-year old Palestinian terrorist infiltrated a West Bank Jewish community and stabbed a 13-year old girl in her own bedroom, critically wounding her.  The girl, identified as Hallel Yaffa Ariel, died on her way to the hospital.

The two attacks put Tel Aviv on edge since the city tonight is hosting a “white night,” meaning many establishments are staying open all night, including many public facilities.

Rosenfeld told Breitbart Jerusalem that even before the Natanya attack, standard security measures were already implemented in Tel Aviv for the “white night.”
