WATCH: El Al Plane Rerouted to Tel Aviv With Busted Tire

The Times of Israel reports: An El Al flight landed safely back in Tel Aviv late Thursday night after one of its tires exploded during take-off from Ben-Gurion Airport while en route to Kiev earlier.

The plane had to make an emergency landing after airport crew discovered tire remains on the runway.

All 182 passengers aboard the Boeing 737 were safely back in Israel, with some suffering from shock. Medical personnel were on the scene to treat them.

The El Al flight — run by its low-cost carrier UP — departed Tel Aviv for Kiev on Thursday at around 9:30 p.m, some three hours behind schedule.
