Netanyahu Disputes Reports He Was Widely Booed Attending Broadway’s ‘Hamilton’

The New York Post reports:  It should come as no surprise that Page Six is among the Israeli prime minister’s top priorities.

On Monday, we reported that Benjamin Netanyahu was booed — and cheered — as he took his seat for “Hamilton.”

On Tuesday, a miffed Netanyahu personally wrote on Facebook that while “among the cheering crowd maybe one or two called out derogatory remarks,” it was “hard to believe that a number of media outlets later reported that I was booed.”

He added, “A Haaretz [newpaper] reporter published on his Twitter feed a headline that said: ‘Boos for Bibi: Israeli PM Netanyahu is jeered by Broadway crowd.’” (Some Israeli publications overstated the hostility described in our write-up until it seemed that he was mainly booed, rather than mainly applauded.)
