TEL AVIV – The official TV station belonging to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party aired a music video celebrating the terror-filled history of the party no less than 72 times in November, according to a report by Israeli watchdog Palestinian Media Watch.
The veteran song, titled “From My Wounds, My Weapon Has Emerged,” was repeatedly broadcast over the duration of the Seventh Fatah Congress, a five-day conference that saw the reelection of Abbas as Fatah chief.
Lyrics from the song include: “From my wounds, my weapon has emerged. O, our revolution, my weapon has emerged. There is no force in the world that can remove the weapon from my hand.”
A longer version was also aired with the following lyrics: “He who offers his blood doesn’t care/ if his blood flows upon the ground./ As the weapon of the revolution is in my hand, /so my presence will be forced [upon Israel].”
The song also includes a quote from late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat: “For our movement, ‘armed struggle’ means taking part in an armed revolutionary war of the masses.”
In the accompanying video, Arafat is shown distributing rifles.
The song was played during the conference itself at the Palestinian Authority headquarters in Ramallah.
Breitbart Jerusalem reported last week that PA TV aired another song 11 times in less than a week praising Fatah for its call to “slice open” Israel’s chest.
