Jewish Group Organizes Massive Holocaust Commemoration on Social Media

The Algemeiner reports: Ahead of International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Friday, thousands of photos of people holding “We remember” or “I remember” signs have been broadcast on a screen set up at the site of the former Nazi death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland.

The project is a social media initiative organized by the World Jewish Congress (WJC) that is meant to raise global awareness about the Holocaust.

According to the WJC, the campaign has reached more than 100 million people and is likely the largest social media commemoration of the Holocaust to date.
