President Donald Trump will sign a waiver to keep the U.S. Embassy to Israel in Tel Aviv, despite his campaign promise to relocate it, according to several reports.

Trump has until Friday to make an official decision, and officials are refusing to comment publicly until it happens.

“Once we have a decision, we’ll put it out,” White House press secretary, Sean Spicer, told reporters on Wednesday. Privately, however, White House officials say that although Trump is committed to his promise, he will delay it.

Currently, U.S. law requires that the embassy be moved to Jerusalem, but U.S. presidents have signed a six-month waiver of the decision since 1999.
