Palestinian Authority Calls On International Community to Protect Terrorists

TEL AVIV – The Palestinian Authority called for international protection on Sunday, claiming that the IDF deliberately killed three teenage Palestinian terrorists in the West Bank.

An Israeli official responded by stating “the problem is the Palestinian Authority, which continues to incite against Israel. It refuses to take responsibly and continues to praise young people involved in murderous acts of terrorism.”

On Sunday morning, two Palestinian youths were spotted hurling rocks near the security fence north of the Palestinian City of Jenin. An IDF unit deployed to the area was attacked by the assailants, who were armed with knives and an automatic rifle. IDF soldiers fired at the young men, killing both.

The two assailants were later identified as Nihad Raed Waked and Fuad Marwan Waked, both aged 15. Their bodies were handed over to the Palestinian Red Crescent.

In a separate incident on Sunday, Naim Ahmed Safi, 17, from a village near Bethlehem, was shot dead after charging Border Police officers with a knife.

“The terrorist ran toward police at the checkpoint with a knife and when he did not stop Border Police opened fire and killed him,” Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said.

In a third attempted terror attack in the West Bank city of Hebron near the Cave of the Patriarchs, Yasmin Rashad Tamimi, 21, was shot by security forces while trying to stab a soldier. She was evacuated to the Sha’are Tzedek Medical Center in Jerusalem where she underwent surgery and was listed in stable condition.

Around 3pm a woman from Jerusalem reported being attacked by an Arab man with a knife.

On Sunday evening, spokesman for the PA government Yusef Al-Mahmoud accused Israel of “deliberately” killing Palestinian teenagers.
