Chris Christie Announces Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

President Obama is scheduled to make an appearance in Newark, New Jersey Monday to discuss the “cycle of incarceration.” Meanwhile, Gov. Christie offered a bit of counter-programming Monday morning in Camden, NJ when he announced the creation of an annual law enforcement appreciation day in the state.

Border Patrol Agents Join Boycott of Quentin Tarantino Films

Border Patrol agents across the country are joining with other law enforcement officers in boycotting films made by Quentin Tarantino after he called police “murderers.” Tarantino participated in an anti-police rally in New York City just days after the New York Police Officer Randolph Holder was shot in the head while chasing an armed suspect.

FBI Agent Accidentally Shot by Texas DPS Special Agent

The FBI agent who was shot Thursday night during the service of a warrant in the Texas panhandle was shot by a fellow law enforcement officer. The FBI agent is still in a Lubbock, Texas hospital where he is recovering from his wound.

Texas DPS Trooper Killed in Car Crash

A Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) trooper was killed late Thursday night in north Texas in a single-car accident. The veteran trooper’s vehicle left the roadway at about 10:30 p.m. and was later discovered by a passing motorist.

FBI Agent Shot in Texas

FBI Special Agent Mike Orndorff was shot while working in the town of Crosbyton, which is located about 30 miles east of Lubbock on U.S. Highway 82. He is reported to be in critical condition at University Medical Center in Lubbock, according to KCBD-NBC11 in Lubbock.
