Two Schools in Stockholm, including a Jewish school, have been graffitied with swastikas and anti-Semitic slogans, authorities have said.
The ynetnews.com website reports that The Vasa Real school, a Jewish school that offers classes in Hebrew and Jewish studies, was covered with blue and pink Swastikas and slogans such as “disgusting Jews” and the white supremacist “1488”.
Swastikas were also painted on another school nearby that has a large proportion of ethnic minority students.
The local council’s schools director tweeted that the graffiti was “Horrible and unacceptable,” while a spokeswoman for the second school said: “It’s particularly sad because many come to our school precisely because we reflect how Swedish society looks today.”
This is the latest in a series of acts as community tensions intensify in Stockholm.
Police said that four people were injured over the weekend in clashes between far left militants and members of the hard right Party of the Swedes.
A mosque in the city was also covered in the Nazi symbols in January, and a demonstration against the painting of Swastikas was attacked by far-right militants last year. Members of a neo-Nazi group are currently on trial for the attack.
