Woman Arrested After Porn Shoot in Church

A woman has been arrested in Austria after filming two porn movies in her local church. The parish of Hörsching in Upper Austria was outraged last month after the videos emerged, saying that their church had been “desecrated” and that the film crew did not have their permission to film.

The Local reports that the arrested woman uses the stage name Babsi and is 24 years old. She is Polish-born but moved to Austria with her family as a child. She was reported to the police for “denigration of religious beliefs of a legally recognized religion” under section 188 of the Austrian criminal code.

If convicted, she could face up to six months imprisonment or a fine of up to 360 days’ payments based on her income.

David Furtnerteich of the National Police Directorate said: “We have identified a suspect. She has already been questioned and has made a full confession.”

Police said that the woman had wanted to be “deliberately provocative, and thereby draw attention to herself in the porn industry.”

After close examination of the videos, police now believe that she filmed the videos herself and did not have a crew.

An independent analyst said: “it was obvious that the woman was acting alone, due to shaky footage and poor camera movement choices, and the lighting aesthetics were definitely also questionable.”

The parish is now considering how to restore the dignity of the church. The diocese of Linz said in a statement that the sacraments that were celebrated there since the films were taken would still be considered valid.

Parish head Bernhard Pauer said: “The church does not have to be reconsecrated … The presence of God cannot be driven out by sin.”
