Director of Middle East at the British Foreign Office Edward Oakden renewed on Saturday his country’s support for President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi’s efforts to complete the transition stage in Yemen.
Oakden stressed, during his meeting in London with Head of the National Security Agency Maj. Gen. Dr. Ali al-Ahmadi, that the international community will not allow any group or party to obstruct the march of Yemen’s exit to the prospects of harmony ,peace, progress and prosperity.
The British official reiterated his country’s continued support to the development process ,the fight against terrorism and the urgent humanitarian aspects in Yemen. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the cooperation relations between the two friendly countries, as well as the developments at the Yemeni scene and the progress in the political process.
Al-Ahmadi touched on the challenges facing Yemen at the present time and efforts exerted to overcome those challenges. He underlined the importance of supporting the efforts of President Hadi and the government to move forward in the political process.
