Cologne Migrants Taught Short Skirts Aren’t A Sexual Invitation

Young migrant men and boys in Cologne are being taught not to sexually assault German women and that touching themselves won’t make them blind.

A programme in Cologne, the city of the infamous New Year’s Eve sex attacks, is attempting to teach migrants that German girls are not asking for sexual advances no matter what clothing they chose to wear, reports newspaper Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger.

The programme is designed to give the migrants a sexual education – something they likely will not have had coming from the Middle East and North Africa. The aim is to stop future sex attacks by teaching German values, but it is being coordinated by a group who have caused controversy in the past.

Presently, the migrants enrolled are young men between the ages of 13-17 who have undergone the trip to Germany largely on their own. These unaccompanied minors have caused problems for German authorities because men, primarily from North Africa, and have apparently used the migrant crisis as a way to have a free holiday at German tax-payers’ expense. Some migrants were even caught bragging about getting free money and food on Facebook as they travelled around Europe to various asylum accommodations.

The group who run the programme are Pro Familia, a non-profit organisation who specialise in sexual education. According to sex educator Jan Gentsch there has been a larger than expected turnout for the programme. “The desire for knowledge is just huge,” he said.

Pro Familia stirred controversy earlier this year when footage was shown on Germany’s Bayerischer Rundfunk TV channel of leader of Pro Familia Christian Zech teaching young migrants how to “pick up” German women. When asked what he thought about Muslim migrants’ attitudes toward women and homosexuals Mr. Zechs told German media his job wasn’t to “protect Germans from refugees”.

According to Mr. Gentsch the real problem with the underage migrant boys is a lack of parental guidance and the fact that they aren’t used to “confident women”. He said that when the young migrants see a women without a male chaperone walking down the street it is “a shock to the guys”.

The migrants also were apparently quite clueless about the basics of sexuality, even when it came to themselves. Mr. Gentsch said. “They know little about their own bodies,” he claimed and even said most of them believed wholeheartedly that if they touched themselves inappropriately they’d likely go blind.

Ulla Engel Horstkötter, another member of Pro Familia, regretted that the New Year’s Eve attacks had made German parents more cautious about their daughters. She said that it was a shame that parents of German girls now advise them to stay away from migrants saying: “I often think about my colleague Jan and about how we can best eliminate the misunderstandings between cultures.”

Germany is having an ever-increasingly difficult time integrating migrants and preventing sexual assaults in public places like swimming pools. The sex attacks have led to everything from street patrols to attempts to ban migrants from swimming baths. The German government is expecting the cost of the range of integration projects to cost billions of euros for German taxpayers.
