We Are Breitbart Meetup – Dallas, Texas

1/12/2016 – Dallas, Texas

Over 200 people packed the Back Porch Grill and Tavern in Grapevine, Texas, for the first-ever Breitbart Meetup in the Dallas area. Breitbart Texas Managing Director Brandon Darby was there to briefly speak to the the crowd and then engage in an in depth Q and A that went on for more than an hour and a half. The dialogue went back and forth between the crowd and Darby, covering topics ranging from Ted Cruz to the realities on the border, terrorism, Mexican cartels, and MS-13 gang members in the U.S.

“Once again, Breitbart Readers showed up en masse and with the most articulate and informed questions imaginable. We had Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne in the audience as well and our readers support her. It was great,” said Darby.

He added, “We also had Julie McCarty who is a major Tea Party leader in the area. She said she didn’t know many of the people present. This is great. It means that the Breitbart Meetups are encouraging new people to engage who are not otherwise involved in their local Tea Party groups or other political circles. It was also great to have a Tea Party leader of Julie’s caliber present. She’s always been a big support to us and to me.”

One attendee summarized the event this way: “It was so great to meet other happy warriors, upbeat and informed-just seeking the truth. Appreciated having the Grapevine Police there. Andrew’s spirit lives on!”
