Hollywood celebrities reacted with dismay to news Friday that FBI Director James Comey has decided to reopen a probe into Hillary Clinton emails related to its previous investigation of the Democratic presidential candidate.

Some, including pop star Cher, Shark Tank co-host Mark Cuban and actor Josh Gad lashed out at Comey and Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) for what they described as anti-Clinton bias, with the FBI director’s action coming just days before Election Day.

Actors Adam Goldberg and Kristen Bell also criticized Comey for the announcement:

Rosie O’Donnell and Vincent D’Onofrio said the FBI revelations wouldn’t persuade them to change their vote:

Meanwhile, actor Rob Lowe said that the developments had caused TV pundits on both sides of the aisle to become “ashen-faced” with panic.

And Albert Brooks pondered whether the development could be significant enough to bring down Clinton’s campaign, and subsequently, the entire U.S. government.
