MILO: On His First Day, Trump Could Stop More Ohio States from Happening

Ohio State University, where I recently gave a lecture, has become the latest scene of apparent bloodthirsty Islamic terrorism.

An 18-year-old Somali refugee reportedly ran his car into a group of pedestrians on campus, before attacking them with a knife. At least 9 people have been injured, although thankfully there are no deaths yet — except for the attacker, but I was talking about real people.

The immigrant, by the way, came to the US just a few years ago. He’s an Obama-era addition to America. And he was at a public school, meaning taxpayer money was spent on his education. Perhaps some enterprising student journalist will let us know how much.

The attack was carried out with a car and a knife, so naturally leftists — including the man who was almost Vice President — and the mainstream (fake news) media are already blaming Ohio’s lack of gun control.

OSU is based in Columbus, Ohio, a city with a large population of Somali immigrants. Areas of Columbus already feel like no-go zones, like a tamer version of France. It’s a good thing that the residents can purchase guns to defend themselves — no thanks to the Democrats.

You won’t be surprised to learn that this isn’t the first Muslim knife attack in Columbus. Check out this attack on a Jewish restaurant that occurred earlier this year.

Someone really ought to tell the ADL what’s going on, but I hear they have more pressing issues to attend to, like a green cartoon frog on the Internet and some tweets they don’t like.

Luckily, America now has a leader who has promised to tackle the threat of Islamic terror. Trump is already making great strides as President-elect, but he must deliver on his promise to freeze Muslim immigration. Not least because it would be very easy to do so.

The Conservative Review explains:

Trump ran unambiguously on stopping refugees from the Middle East and the good news is that he can now use the unilateral executive authority for the right purposes. The same way Obama was able to increase refugee resettlement to 110,000 without Congress, Trump can set that number at 0. At the very least, he can immediately suspend the refugee program from countries with a dominant culture of radical Islamism, such as Syria, Somalia, and Iraq.

Also, under § 212(f) of Immigration and Nationality Act, “whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”

This power is universal, enforceable at the will of the president, and applies any time for any circumstance.

Trump has consistently recognized threats to America before they happen. He predicted that Muslim refugees would be a problem long before this attack, and he was talking about the threat of Islam long before Omar Mateen’s attack on the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando.

Just a month before terrorist lefts 32 dead in Brussels, Trump declared that the Belgian capital had been turned into a “hellhole” by Muslim migrants who were unwilling to integrate.

Astonishingly, Trump has even talked specifically about the problem of unintegrated Somali immigrants in America: “You’ve seen first-hand the problems caused with faulty refugee vetting, with very large numbers of Somali refugees coming into your state without your knowledge, without your support or approval,” he said at a campaign-trail rally in Minnesota a few days before the election.

“Some of them [are] joining Isis and spreading their extremist views all over our country and all over the world.”

We should pay close attention to the few brave non-Muslim Arabs who have managed to escape persecution in the Middle East. They know better than anyone what happens when Islamic radicalism takes hold in a society, and that’s why they are even more opposed to taking in more Muslim immigrants than white conservatives are.

We should help those fleeing terror and oppression in the Middle East. But that is the polar opposite of the Left’s suicidal refugee policy, which bring the radicals and the oppressors in alongside the genuine victims.

Donald Trump must freeze Muslim immigration until a proper vetting system is in place. (Or, you know, just freeze it forever.) If he does not, there will be more terror on America’s streets in the years to come.
