Captain Owen Honors had his Navy career destroyed over those controversial videos. In newly released statements to investigators, he tells his side of the story. According to Honors, not only did his superiors encourage the videos, they were shown to over 10,000 sailors and marines, a “very diverse group” in his words, and there was not one complaint by anyone through the anonymous Navy complaint system. So who cares what the news media thinks?Sure seems political correctness has taken over the Navy and Honors was an any scapegoat.
What kind of officer was Honors? According to his fitness reports while on the Enterprise, his commanding officer gave him perfect scores and declared him to be a “future flag officer.” A great career….destroyed by people who in the end really don’t care about the Navy.
