Former UN Ambassador John Bolton, known for his fearless defense of American interests, has just endorsed Gov. Mitt Romney in the Republican presidential primary.

Speaking to host Greta van Susteren on Fox News’s On the Record, Bolton gave his support to Romney’s assertive foreign policy–one of the few areas in which Romney’s positions have contrasted clearly with those of President Barack Obama.
Bolton had once considered a 2012 presidential run “very seriously” before declining to contest the Republican nomination.
