Bad news for pacifists–and Los Angeles Lakers fans: World Peace is likely to be suspended, for as many as ten games.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace (formerly Ron Artest until the 2011 offseason) is to be punished by the National Basketball Association for a vicious–and not particularly peaceful–elbow to the head of Oklahoma City Thunder guard James Harden last night. The Lakers won 114-106 at home at Staples Center.
Harden is not yet cleared to play. And the fate of World Peace hangs in the balance.
