Obama: 'We Are Leading Around the World'

Obama: 'We Are Leading Around the World'

At a VFW convention in Reno, Nevada, on Monday, Barack Obama had the gall to say, “Let’s stop playing politics with our military.” Of course, playing politics with the military is all Obama does, from using them as “photo ops” to taking credit for their killing of Osama Bin Laden. But that simple reversal of the truth is nowhere near as unbelievable as something else he said.

Make sure you’re sitting down and you’ve fully digested your last meal. Here it is:

Because we’re leading around the world, people have a new attitude toward America. There’s more confidence in our leadership … So this is the progress that we’ve made. Thanks to the extraordinary service of our men and women in uniform, we’re winding down a decade of war; we’re destroying the terrorist network that attacked us; we’re strengthening the alliances that extend our values. And today, every American can be proud that the United States is safer and stronger and more respected in the world.”

Let’s take a look at these outrageous lies.

1.    We’re leading around the world? Obama says to Dmitri Medvedev to hold off until after he’s reelected so he’ll have more flexibility. That’s not exactly like telling Gorbachev to “tear down this wall.” We’re leading around the world? Obama bows before the King of Saudi Arabia. We’re leading around the world? The world is thinking of renouncing the dollar as the currency standard.

2.    There’s more confidence in our leadership? Tell me, Mr. Obama, from where? Name one — just one — country that is more inclined to join with us in anything we do that wasn’t already on board with us before you pranced into office.

3.    We’re strengthening the alliances that extend our values. This is the kicker, the biggest lie of all. American values have been espoused by nations such as Great Britain and Israel, and those countries have been treated like dirt. Remember when Obama sent a secret letter to the president of Russia in 2009 saying that he would renounce deploying a new missile defense system in Eastern Europe, thus abandoning Poland and the Czech Republic, if Moscow would help stop Iran from developing long-range weapons? How about his championing of the Muslim Brotherhood in every conceivable way; is that an alliance that reflects American values?

Here’s what Obama really means: We’re strengthening the alliances that extend my values.

And his values regarding America’s place in the world have never been American at all.
