Poll: Israeli Jews Like Romney, 2-1

A new poll from the Israel Democracy Institute and Tel Aviv University asked Israeli Jews whether they thought Obama or Romney “assigns more importance to defending Israel’s national interests.” The results were stunning: 40 percent liked Romney; just 19 percent liked Obama. 10 percent of respondents said both had Israel’s national interests in mind; 25 percent said they didn’t know, and 6 percent said neither did.

The delusional Israeli left, which still thinks Oslo was a fantastic idea after two decades of war, bloodshed, and terrorism, supports Obama 37 percent to 17 percent. Those in the center supported Romney 39 percent to 20 percent; those on the right supported Romney 52 percent to 13 percent. Israel is currently governed by a conservative coalition.

The poll highlights a very uncomfortable truth for liberal Jews in America: they care less about Israel than they do about issues completely unrelated to Judaism.
