DOJ/Pentagon Could Prevent Publication of SEAL Team Six Member's Book

Special Operations-OPSEC has asked the Pentagon to scrutinize an upcoming book by SEAL Team Six member “Mark Owen” to ascertain whether it reveals classified information. If the Pentagon determine that it does, they will request that the DOJ move to pull the book before it can be released on Sept. 11 of this year.

The book’s publisher has promised Owen’s work will correct the record on the bin Laden raid. Special Operations-OPSEC just wants to be sure that the correction doesn’t come at the price of leaking even more classified information than has already been leaked.

After all the leaks that have come from the Obama White House, the unprecedented exposure Hollywood movie directors were given to classified information after the Osama bin Laden raid, and the bumbling manner in which the administration announced every detail of what we did and didn’t find in bin Laden’s compound during the May 2011 raid, the DOJ and Pentagon are finally acting to control leaks.
