Wisconsin: Group Running TV Ads Against Anti-Israel Senate Candidate Tammy Baldwin

The Energy Committee for Israel (ECI) just launched a television ad that will run for ten days against Wisconsin Senate Democrat candidate Tammy Baldwin.

Baldwin, who has been a member of the U.S. House of Representatives since 1999, is seeking to capture the Senate seat of retiring Senator Herb Kohl (D-WI).

ECI’s television ad presents anti-Israel and anti-national security positions that Baldwin has taken while a Congresswoman, clearly believing these positions show that she ought not be a Senator. ECI also highlights that Baldwin’s campaign website does not include in a foreign policy section for this very reason — because she is trying to keep her votes from being dragged out into the light.

The executive director of ECI said, “She doesn’t want to tell the voters where she stands, [so] we will.”

Some of the things the ad highlights are fact that Baldwin voted against sanctions for Iran,  that she “attacked the NYPD for monitoring Islamic extremists,” and that “she accused Israel of war crimes.” (On her website, Baldwin appears quite proud of her vote against sanctions on Iran.)

Added ECI’s executive director: “Throughout her career, [Baldwin] has been nothing less than hostile to the U.S.-Israel alliance.”
