Obama Administration Confused on Syria

Obama Administration Confused on Syria

As Republicans on Capitol Hill and the Romney/Ryan ticket continue to press Obama to show leadership on Syria, his administration’s approach to dealing with the conflict in that country has changed again.

The Sec. of State is now saying that those in  charge of the opposition need to be replaced by people more representative of those who are doing the actual fighting.

Clinton said, “We have recommended names and organizations that we believe should be included in any organization structure.” She added, “We’ve made it clear that…opposition must include people from inside Syria and others who have a legitimate voice that needs to be heard.”

Clinton and others within the State Dept. are being asked how U.S. interference into who is and isn’t in charge can be squared with Obama’s claim that his approach allows the Syrians to, “decide who their future leaders will be.”

It appears we have an administration against itself.
