House Intel Committee to Hold Benghazi Hearings Behind Closed Doors

The House Intelligence Committee will hold a closed door hearing on the Benghazi attack a week from Thursday — November 15th.

The meeting is closed because the information shared at the hearing will largely include classified information from CIA Director David Petraeus, Director of National Security James Clapper, and Matt Olsen, director of the the National Counterterrorism Center.

The House hearing will be interesting, because Olsen was one of the first members of the Obama administration to label Benghazi a “terrorist attack,” whereas Petraeus countered him, repeating the WH’s claim that the attack was the result of a spontaneous demonstration.

The Senate Intelligence Committee plans to meet on November 15th as well to map their way forward in the Benghazi investigation.
