American Friends of Likud reported, “According to sources inside the White House, in a private briefing to President Obama on Fri night, PM Netanyahu has said that a ground offensive would be held off for now.”
Early this morning, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided with his cabinet to ramp up the Gaza offensive from the Mediterranean Sea. Air and naval forces have been assaulting Gaza, and will continue to do so. Major General Tal Rousso said last night that the assault would continue until Israel had eliminated “the war arsenals of Hamas and terrorist organizations and restor[ed] peace and normality to the population of southern Israel.”
The Israeli government also announced that Hamas’ leaders had switched off all their electronic devices in order to avoid being targeted and killed by the IDF.
