Hezbollah Leader Warns of Rocket Attacks on Major Israeli Cities

Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah in Lebanon, is warning Israel that if it pursues a war in Lebanon Hezbollah would fire thousands of rockets into Israel and target major cities like Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Nasrallah has said in the past that Hezbollah has over 20,000 missiles and rockets, while Israel estimates Hezbollah’s arsenal at several times that number. Israeli intelligence believes Hezbollah can target any area of the country.

Nasrallah said the Fajr-5 Iranian-made rockets from Gaza “shook Israel” continuing:

How is it (Israel) going to stand thousands of rockets that will fall on Tel Aviv and other areas if it launches an aggression against Lebanon? … The battle with us is going to be all over occupied Palestine. From the border with Lebanon to the frontier with Jordan to the Red Sea. The Israelis should listen well to me. From Kiryat Shemona to Eilat.

In 2006, Hamas fired nearly 4000 rockets against Israel, only one of which was a long-range rocket, but their long-range capacity has mushroomed.
