Former Israeli Justice Minister On Iran: It's Now or Never–and Never Isn't An Option

Speaking to a security conference in Tel Aviv, former Israeli intelligence and justice minister MK Tzachi Hanegbi said, “It’s now or never” with Iran, but “the option of never does not exist.”

Amid the focus on intelligence claims that the Assad regime has crossed a red line by using chemical weapons in Syria, Hanegbi and others are warning that Iran is inching ever closer to bomb-ready status.

Speaking at the same conference, former head of IDF Military Intelligence Major General (res.) Amos Yadlin concurred, saying that Iran has crossed a red line too.

Yadlin said: “For all intents and purposes, Iran has crossed Israel’s red line…in the summer, Iran will be a month or two away from deciding about a bomb.”

Yadin says there needs to be an increase in international pressure. But he added even that won’t do any good unless Iran is made to understand there will be devastating consequences if they continue down the road they are on.
