Israeli Diplomat: No Doubt Syria Used Chemical Weapons

A senior Israeli diplomat says there is no doubt that Bashar al-Assad’s regime used chemical weapons.

He says the use of the weapons is “widely known” among intelligence agencies, and that the weapons were used “against opposition forces trying to topple” Assad.

Nevertheless, the official says Israel’s chief concern should be over whether these weapons have made their way to Hezbollah yet or if they are making their way there now.

This news comes on the heels of Israeli deputy foreign minister Zev Elkin reminding President Obama the “world is watching” and waiting to see what the U.S. will do now that Syria has allegedly crossed the “red line” designated by President Obama.
