UN Watch is reporting that the United Nations’ Richard Falk has again justified the Boston Marathon bombings as “resistance” to U.S. “military undertakings” in an interview with The Daily Princetonian. This makes the second time that he’s blamed the U.S. military in as many months for the deadly terrorist attack in April.
During an interview with The Daily Princetonian, Falk said such attacks were “bound” to be carried out in response to U.S. conduct in the Middle East and beyond. “The U.S. is really the only country that projects its military power to all parts of the world,” he claimed.
In response to these statements, UN Watch has taken the “unprecedented move” of circulating a draft resolution to “terminate Falk’s mandate.”
UN Watch director Hillel Neuer said, “Richard Falk is disgracing the United Nations and its human rights system. Country mandates are discontinued all the time.”
“While it’s true that no independent expert has ever been fired during his term, Falk is an exceptional case that calls for special measures,” Neuer declared.
