South Korea Deploys Israeli-Made Missiles to Protect Border Islands

South Korea has deployed Israeli-made Spike missiles to protect border islands in the West Sea.

According to Arirang News, these satellite-guided missiles can be used to “destroy underground facilities” and “to pursue and strike moving targets.”

These missiles are believed to be so accurate that they can “strike targets day and night” using a system of infrared targeting, cameras, and sensors. They can also be used to strike artillery hidden in caves.

In addition to the Spike missiles, South Korea also “placed state of the art radars, multiple missile launchers, and Cobra helicopters” in the region to deal with any threats from North Korea. They want to be sure that something like the shelling of Yeonpyeong Island in 2010 does not happen again.
