Reports indicate that Syria has “surface-to-surface Tishreen missiles” zeroed in on Tel Aviv and “is ready to use them should Israel conduct a strike on Damascus.”
According to the Jerusalem Post, satellites have detected missile preparations by Syria. And the missiles being used can “each carry half a ton payload.”
Missile expert Uzi Rubin says Syria has so many of these missiles that if they began launching them, “they could potentially paralyze all commercial flights coming in and out of [Israel].”
This news comes on top of Israel’s concern that Syrian chemical weapons may fall into the hands of “terrorist organizations,” only to be used against Israelis.
Days ago, a senior Israeli official warned: “If Syrian President Assad reacts by attacking Israel, or tries to strike Israel through terrorist proxies, he will risk forfeiting his regime, for Israel will retaliate.”
