Defence Minister: Paris Knife Attack Was Bid to Kill Soldier

(AFP) – France’s defence minister said a soldier stabbed in Paris Saturday was targeted because he was in the army and vowed to continue his country’s “implacable” fight against terrorism.

“They tried to kill the soldier because he was a soldier,” Jean-Yves Le Drian told reporters, adding that the soldier stabbed in the neck was in a stable condition.
