Poll: Americans Hate Syria Intervention Even More Than Congress

A Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Saturday showed that the American people are even less enthusiastic about intervention in Syria than they are about Congress. While Congress continues to maintain its brutally low 15 percent approval rating, just 9 percent of Americans think that the Obama administration should get involved militarily in the quagmire that is Syria. Even if Assad used chemical weapons, the number of Americans approving military action rose to just 25 percent. The White House has already signaled this week that military action against Syria is imminent, despite a lack of any Congressional authorization.
