Kerry Compares Assad to Hitler, Saddam

On Fox News Sunday, Secretary of State John Kerry compared Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad to Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussein for using chemical weapons on Syrians. 

Kerry said “international norms on chemical weapons” that have “been in place since 1925” had to be upheld. He said he did not believe Congress would refuse to give President Barack Obama authorization for military strikes in Syria because “only Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussein have breached that in times of war.”

“And now Assad joins them,” Kerry said, of Assad’s alleged use of chemical weapons.
