Hillary to Make First Public Comments About Syria

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will make her first public comments on Syria on Monday after she visits with President Barack Obama at the White House.

Politico reports that Clinton will meet with Obama for an unrelated event and then make comments about Syria at the “Forum to Counter Wildlife Tracking” at the White House.

Last week, an anonymous Clinton aide said she supported Obama’s determination that America had to intervene in Syria.

Clinton will also receive the Liberty Medal at the National Constitution Center on Tuesday on the anniversary of the 9/11 and Benghazi terrorist attacks. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will present her with the medal, but Clinton reportedly does not intend to comment extensively on foreign policy.

Clinton, the presumptive 2016 Democrat presidential candidate, lost the 2008 Democratic nomination to Obama in part because she refused to take back her vote in favor or the war in Iraq.
