MANAMA, Saudi Arabia, Oct. 3 (UPI) — A Saudi Arabian man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison and 2,000 lashes for dancing naked on the roof of a car, court officials said.
The man was also ordered to pay $13,000 for the act.
The incident took place at a camp, Gulf News said, and a video of the dance circulated on the Internet.
Two other men were sentenced for taking part in the dance.
One man was sentenced to seven years in prison and 2,000 lashes, another received a sentence of two to five years in prison and 1,200 lashes.
The defendants have the right to appeal.
The public prosecutor said he would challenge the ruling for being too lenient.
