On February 8th Breitbart News reported that Iranian warships set sail for U.S. maritime borders to send “a message.” On January 9th, elite Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi spoke of sinking U.S. warships.
According to The Washington Free Beacon, Fadavi said: “The Americans can sense by all means how their warships will be sunk with 5,000 crews and forces in combat against Iran and how they should find its hulk in the depths of the sea.”
When the Iranian ships were “dispatched” toward the U.S. on February 8th, Admiral Afshin Rezayee Haddad said it was in response “to Washington’s beefed up naval presence in the Persian Gulf.”
Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei joined the conversation, saying, “The Iranian nation ought to pay attention to the recent [nuclear] negotiations and rude remarks of the Americans so that everyone gets to know the enemy well.”
