Obama: 'I Absolutely Would Save Mr. Putin if He Were Drowning'

President Obama would save Russian President Vladimir Putin if he was drowning, he asserted during a press conference Friday.

ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl asked Obama the question during a press conference in South Korea, and he replied, “I absolutely would save Mr. Putin if he were drowning.” He added, “I’d like to think that if anybody’s out there drowning, I’m going to save them.”

Also, Obama joked that although he was a good swimmer while growing up in Hawaii, he was a little out of practice.

Putin was asked a similar question during a question-and-answer event in Russia last week.
