According to Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, he is currently in the great country of Canadia! That is how he pronounced the country during a press conference in Ottawa.
Asked about Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s recent condemnation of Russian policy in Ukraine, Mr Abbott responded: “They’re very forthright remarks, and I think that they’re perfectly appropriate remarks for the Canadian Prime Minister to make. Julia Baird said he was going to say Canadian, but it does not matter. People latched on and Canadia trended in Australia.

In May, Abbott winked and smiled at a grandmother who claimed to work as a phone sex operator to make ends meet. The grandmother said it was sleazy and Abbott later expressed regret for his actions. Cameras caught him with his eyes closed during the 70th anniversary of D-Day and he was accused of falling asleep.
